Pest Applicator Job Description:
Maintain great customer service with clients and co-workers. Maintain a clean appearance in accordance with Pesty Pest Control rules. Pest Applicators will remove/ control unwanted creatures, such as roaches, rats, ants, and bedbugs, weeds, that infest buildings and surrounding areas. Apply pest products as directed by the chemical label. Follow directions by supervisors. Maintain Pesty Pest Control equipment and vehicles as directed.
Some of the Duties:
- Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation
- Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
- Use baits and set traps to remove or kill pests
- Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
- Design and carry out pest management plans
- Drive trucks equipped with power spraying equipment
- Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building
WEEDS:
- Apply herbicides to target plants following specific instructions.
- Identify weeds accurately and choose appropriate herbicides.
- Maintain and clean herbicide application equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective gear.
- Keep records of herbicide applications.
- Monitor environmental impact of herbicide use.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and education
Unwanted pests that infest buildings and surrounding areas can pose serious risks to the health and safety of occupants. Pest control workers control, manage and remove these creatures from homes, apartments, offices, and other structures to protect people and to maintain buildings’ structural integrity.
To design and carry out integrated pest management plans, pest control workers must know the identity and biology of a wide range of pests. They must also know the best ways to control and remove the pests.
Work Environment:
Pest control workers must travel to clients’ sites. They work both indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather. To inspect sites and treat them, workers must often kneel, bend, and crawl in tight spaces and occasionally carry heavy items on job sites.
When working with pesticides, pest control workers must wear protective gear according to the label.
Certifications:
Each Applicator is responsible for obtaining all licensing within 90 of employment. Each applicator is responsible to maintain all licensing for driving and applying pesticides as required by the State of Arizona.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.35 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
