Responsibilities:
- Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and more, with attention to detail and safety.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, recommending appropriate grooming services and products to clients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following salon protocols for hygiene and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold salon standards of quality and care.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, addressing their questions and setting realistic expectations for services.
- Monitor pets’ behavior and wellbeing throughout the grooming process, ensuring a stress-free experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and grooming techniques through continuous education and training.
- Contribute to the overall positive culture of the salon by supporting colleagues and sharking knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer, with a strong portfolio showcasing grooming skills and styles.
- Expertise in handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments with confidence and care.
- Thorough understanding of animal behavior, grooming safety protocols, and best practices.
- Certification in pet grooming or related fields is highly desirable (e.g., NDGAA, IPG, AKC certifications).
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
