Our Pet Care Counselors are responsible for supervising and managing group play to ensure a fun and safe environment for all campers. Daily responsibilities include monitoring group play, assisting with potty breaks, overseeing camper interaction, cleaning the campsites, and maintaining detailed records, as every pet parent receives a personalized report summarizing their pet’s day. To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds, have a strong work ethic, be ready for the physical demands the position requires, and have a genuine passion for caring for dogs.

- Monitor dogs during playgroups and one-on-one interactions, ensuring safe interactions and addressing any behavioral issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area, removing hazards and cleaning up messes.
- Provide basic first aid and know when to seek professional veterinary care.
- Feed, water, and walk dogs according to their individual needs and schedules.
- Perform basic grooming tasks, such as bathing and brushing.
- Clean kennels and other areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Communicate with clients about their dog's behavior and well-being.
- Answer phones and emails, providing information about the daycare.
- Maintain accurate records of feeding, walking, and other relevant activities.
- May assist with other duties as assigned.
- Follow established protocols for emergencies and incidents.
- May be required to lift and move dogs, so physical strength is needed.
Requirements:
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Efficient and effective communication skills
- Able to work outdoors
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Ability to use Kennel Management software a plus
