Summary
The Team Lead oversees kennel operations to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and comfort for canine clients. This role requires leadership, operational management, and customer service expertise to foster a cohesive team environment while maintaining exceptional service delivery. The Team Lead acts as the primary liaison between staff and management, ensuring smooth communication, effective issue resolution, and alignment of team efforts with organizational goals.
Job Characteristics
- LEADERSHIP – Guide and supervise kennel attendants to maintain top-tier pet care services.
- ORGANIZATION – Manage daily operations, and task delegation efficiently.
- PROBLEM-SOLVING – Address challenges and implement solutions proactively.
- COMMUNICATION – Collaborate with management and provide clear guidance to team members.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE – Interact professionally with clients, offering updates and service recommendations as needed.
- FLEXIBILITY – Work on-call, weekends, and holidays as needed to maintain seamless operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1 years in a kennel, daycare, or group animal care environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of canine behavior and safety protocols.
- Skills: Above average leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Availability: Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Must lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with kennel management/CRM software and two-way radios.
