What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinarian, DVM position at Pet Centers of America?
Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital is searching for a veterinarian interested in joining a veterinary hospital whose focus is to practice high quality medicine and surgery, while establishing lasting bonds with our clients and their pets. It is a very busy practice. We perform 95% of our own surgeries including all soft tissue procedures and ACLs, patellas and orthopedic procedures. We would be happy to teach someone interested in pursuing advanced surgical techniques.
We would prefer an experienced veterinarian, but welcome new veterinary graduates who have worked as a veterinary technician/assistant at a hospital prior to Vet school. We believe it is important to provide mentorship to newer veterinary graduates to insure excellent communication skills with owners and to develop appropriate work-up plans for all medical cases and the advancement of surgical skills. Our veterinary support team is well informed and plays an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.
Our veterinarians and veterinary support staff participate in daily rounds and monthly staff meetings. Our practice is paperless, and our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area.
Compensation includes base salary plus production bonus and full benefits for full-time candidates including health insurance, CE, licenses, and dues.
Work schedule consists of 4 days a week with alternating weekends and no emergencies.
