Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary clinic in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Assistant-Technician to join our hospital team. Our hospital is a high quality, full service practice. The position plays an integral role in providing excellent care to our patients as well as providing outstanding customer service to our clients. This is a full time veterinary technician/assistant position.

Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant DUTIES
- Client communication- record data on case history, provide basic education on animal care, nutrition, and medical conditions.
- Maintaining medical records and billing information. Scheduling appointments, greeting customers, preparing invoices, answering phones, making follow up calls and referrals. Experience with Cornerstone is a plus!
- Preparing and labeling medications and prescriptions.
- Blood, fecal, and urine collection
- Lab work- including but not limited to; fecal tests, urinalysis, in house blood-work, cytology preparation and reading.
- Radiography
- Prepare patients for surgery, calculating medication doses, administer intravenous and subcutaneous injections prior to, during and post procedure. Assist, monitor and record data for surgical procedure.
- Restrain and stabilize animals during exam and treatment.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform routine procedures.
- Instruct clients how to administer medications and apply care at home.
Veterinar technician/assistant QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 year’s veterinary experience preferred.
- High- school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
