Position Overview:
We are expanding our reception team and seeking enthusiastic candidates who share our passion for animal care. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service and support to our veterinary team and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admit and discharge patients, ensuring a smooth transition for both the animals and their owners.
- Review discharge instructions and medications with clients to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Assist veterinary doctors and support staff as needed.
- Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary professionals.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and exam areas.
- Handle a high volume of incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Balance daily ledgers and assist with financial transactions.
- Fill prescriptions post-training and after obtaining a Veterinarian Medical Clerk License (Washington State).
- Present estimates for services to clients.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Dependable with reliable transportation.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
- Motivated to learn new skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Preferred:
- 1 year of veterinary or veterinary reception experience.
- Experience in medical billing or medical reception.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule:
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- Shifts may vary from 8-hour to 10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed.
