What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal First Aid Instructor position at Pet Emergency Education, LLC?
Pet Emergency Education is seeking skilled animal care professionals to teach our highly regarded Canine and Feline CPR and First Aid Certification Classes. As part of our team, you’ll help expand our accredited program across the country. We’re looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 3 years full-time experience in an animal-related role (such as in a veterinary or animal care facility, pet grooming business, dog training, doggie daycare, pet sitting, etc.) or as a first responder with animal experience (e.g., search and rescue, K9 handlers). Pet ownership alone does not qualify.
- Experience in teaching or training, with confidence in speaking to groups.
Classes are held once or twice a month, typically lasting 3 hours, with an average class size of 8-15 participants (minimum of 6). Instructors receive $20 per person per class and are also eligible for additional compensation through our online referral program.
