The successful candidate will have a positive, problem-solving attitude, be innovative, and results-oriented and lead by example. Hands-on warehouse management experience essential!SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage warehouse activities including coordinating a smooth and consistent operation, ensuring product is distributed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer delivery requirementsPlan and coordinate employee work; train and motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of a warehouse teamEnsure team members' abilities to accurately perform essentials functions of the warehouse jobs while fostering a high degree of morale within the teamProvide appropriate level of hands on instruction and direction to ensure employees have clear path to operational successMaintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse distribution goalsAssist in the recruiting, hiring, promoting and terminating processes, as neededReview employee performance and provide feedback and suggestions for improvementDevelop and maintain a continuous training and cross training program to accomplish the warehouse mission in a safe, effective manner Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, shipping / loading in a distribution environment, with 2 years of direct supervisory experienceCertified to operate warehousing equipment including forklift, reach truck, and electric ride on jackKnowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautionsWorking knowledge of company WMS and computer proficiency to utilize gmail and google documents.Knowledge of bar code technology, voice-directed order selection, and electronic data interchange preferredPet Food Experts is an equal opportunity employer.
