Role Description
This is a part-time onsite role for a Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist at PSC and Based Vitality, subsidiaries of Pet King Brands, Inc. The Specialist will be responsible for quality control, quality assurance, quality management, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance, and quality auditing on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements quality assurance policies and procedures
- Performs routine inspections and quality tests
- Identifies and resolves workflow and production issues
- Ensures that standards and safety regulations are observed
- Discusses issues and proposed solutions with superiors
- Documents quality assurance activities and creates audit reports
- Creates training materials and operating manuals
- Complies with the company’s quality assurance standards
- Manages and digitally organizes labels, and other documents pertaining to daily operations
- Manages and maintains SOPs
- Act as the liaison between Pet King Brands, Inc. and industry regulatory agencies
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Quality Control and Assurance skills
- Previous experience with compliance under FDA regulations
- Experience in Quality Management and GMP
- Knowledge of quality auditing processes
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or one to two years of related experience or training
Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
