Ranch Hand

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for animal care and agricultural practices. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the ranch, including caring for livestock, maintaining equipment, and assisting with greenhouse activities.

Duties

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and equipment necessary for ranch operations.
• Assist with equine care, including saddling, grooming, and exercising horses.
• Perform mechanical repairs on ranch equipment as needed.
• Participate in greenhouse activities such as planting, irrigating, and maintaining garden areas.
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks related to feed, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Support general ranch maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Experience with animal care is preferred; equine experience is a plus.
• Experience in husbindary.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
• Familiarity with greenhouse operations and irrigation systems is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIROMENT:

• Frequently required to sit
• Continually required to utilize hand, finger dexterity, and operate a computer
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
• Frequently required to talk or hear
• Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
• Occasionally required to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds
