What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Tech Seasonal position at Pet Lodge Pet Resort?
A passion for animal care(especially dogs cats), and a focus on safe and gentle handling is a MUST
- Ensure that all guests are receiving appropriate amounts of food and water, clean and sanitize food / water bowls on a daily basis.
- Hit the Play Yards with activities with Resort Guests! You can : fetch, exercise walks, chase, agility, follow the leader, recall and basic obedience games, etc.
- Supervise activities of multiple dogs throughout the day
- Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms
- Monitor guest’s reaction to play time activities and record in Update Reports for mom / dad
- Bath / Nail Trim for Resort Guests are highly encouraged- No worries, we'll teach you.
- No Experience Required
- Customer Service Oriented - both with our Resort Guests and Resort Parents!
- Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping.
- Good team work and willingness to assist other departments if necessary
- Cheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Ability to work outside, or in distracting work environments such as loud noise / sound
- Be prepared to get dirty(maybe)!
- Must be comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs of all sizes
- Other duties as assigned; you know, like having FUN !
Clean up animal "messes" as needed throughout your shift
Learn Animal Behavior by monitoring and engaging with the Resort guests during Play-Time and other activities!
Though it IS a bonus, is is not a necessity- we are ready for those who are ready to conquer a whole new world!
