What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Walker/Pet Sitter position at Pet Nanny-Pet Sitters of The Main Line?
If you love dogs and cats & spending time outdoors, then this is the perfect job for you. Working at Pet Nanny is a great fit for people who love spending time with animals, have time and flexibility, are active and happy and are wanting a rewarding day to day experience at work. At Pet Nanny we treat pets like family. We are an upscale pet care company that is expanding and excited to offer more dog walking and pet sitting services in the Main Line area.
We are in the “peace of mind” business. We provide a peace of mind to the pet parents that are either traveling or working. We visit our clients’ homes to care for their pets and & their homes, taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood or trails, letting them out to play in the backyard, scooping litter boxes, occasionally providing medications, and a lot of TLC & belly rubs. For traveling clients, you may be asked to water plants and collect the mail as well. We ask that you drive to these appointments and use our mobile app to provide photos and updates to the clients to let them know how the pets are doing.
We are looking for part time staff who are trustworthy & hands on experience caring for pets, who are willing to travel within our service area, commit to a minimum of 6 months employment, pass a background check, complete training, & are available to work during shifts based on our clients’ needs and your schedule. Our busy times are weekends and holiday. Of course, you must be willing to treat our furry clients like they are like your own. Some of the many advantages of working for us, include: lots of room to increase your hours; flexible schedules; streamline communication from your phone: and a relaxed work environment (e.g., shorts, jeans, sweats etc.). With us, you are an employee, not a contractor, so you are fully protected by our liability insurance, our bonding and worker’s compensation insurance. We want you to be protected and secure when out in the field working for us.
We have the following requirements:
-You need to live within the Main Line area and be able to drive to clients daily.
-We do not offer vehicle insurance, so you need to carry your own insurance as well as have your own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
-Available year-round, this is not seasonal. Please only apply if you can commit to working all twelve months.
-You will need to be able to walk dogs in all kinds of weather conditions (within reason): rain, heat, & cold. We do have restrictions and safety measures for extreme weather for both the safety of you and the pets.
-An absolute must: you MUST adore animals! We provide continuing education opportunities on pet care training & Pet First aid, so you are prepared to care for the pets to the best of your abilities and knowledge.
-You must be able to pass a background check.
If this sounds like you, please send your resume and answer the following questions:
1. Do you have pet care experience? Please briefly describe.
2. Why are you applying for this position?
3. We are team players. However, you will mostly work by yourself. Is this something that you are comfortable doing? If yes, explain why this would work well for you?
