Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care and maintenance.
- Utilize proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and staff during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, grooming styles, and any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their questions or concerns.
Skills
- Proficient in dog handling techniques to ensure safety during grooming.
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Knowledge of animal restraint methods to safely manage pets during grooming procedures.
- Experience in pet sitting or kennel management is beneficial.
