Kennel Office Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong commitment to providing excellent care for dogs and other pets in our facility. As a Kennel Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of the animals under our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. The position would primarily be working in our office, checking customers in and out, answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service. The position would also include working hands on with the animals in our care.

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs and other pets, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kennel area by performing regular cleaning tasks such as washing bedding, sanitizing kennels, and disposing of waste.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs.

Experience
While previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn. Ideal qualifications include:

• Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
• Previous experience in a kennel or similar environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A passion for animal care and handling, demonstrating patience and understanding towards pets of all temperaments.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
