Kennel Assistant- FT

Description: The Pet Resort at Greenspring is seeking a Full Time Kennel Assistant with room for growth and leadership.
We are looking to hire enthusiastic team members who are also interested in training for leadership positions with room for promotion and salary adjustments early on. Knowledge of animal care is a plus but not required- most importantly we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and ability to learn quickly. Candidate of course must love working with dogs and cats, provide a high level of animal care, and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Limited Weekends
• Looking for someone who is flexible; good at multi-tasking and interested in learning all aspects of dog/cat care to include: kennel care; light grooming; enrichment and daycare; and some front end work
• You can bring your dog to work!!

About the Job

• Our primary responsibility is to ensure the pets in our care are safe, well cared for, and loved
• You will work with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and needs; we want you to get to know them well to offer personalized care
• Of course the kennels and yards need to be cleaned, we provide the proper tools to make this task most efficient and sanitary
• Dogs need a lot attention, bathing, walking, and playtime

We love and treat the dogs in our kennel as if they are our own. They give us as much love and support as we give them. Requirements:

• Able to perform manual labor tasks such as but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning runs and yard of animal waste, feeding and walking.
• Maintaining a clean and healthy environment
• Able to multi-task and be highly organized
• Work with many different types of dogs and cats
• Able to work some weekends and holidays
• You will be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your fee for extended periods of time
