Pet Groomer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services to dogs and other pets. This role requires a blend of technical grooming abilities, customer service skills, and a commitment to animal care. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while delivering a positive experience for their owners. Must have experience. Hours: Tuesday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm every other Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00

Duties

• Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
• Assist in managing appointments and scheduling for grooming services.
• Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or management.
• Occasionally assist with heavy lifting of larger animals or equipment as needed.
• Stay updated on grooming techniques, trends, and best practices within the industry.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dog handling and pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus.
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary assistance or dog training techniques.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
• Experience with equine care is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to handle various breeds safely and effectively in a kennel environment.
• Excellent animal handling skills with a focus on safety for both pets and staff.
• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting as required by the role.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
