Overview:
We are looking for an outgoing and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are a small, locally owned, and operated pet and pet supply store. We love our store’s environment and have zero desire to become a “big-box” pet supply store. We are open 9am-9pm Monday through Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sunday and looking for an associate who is available to work 30-35 hours a week.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage with neighbors (don’t forget about the pets!)
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately
- Assist with running adoption events at the store
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and updating pricing
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- Process customer returns and exchanges
- Educating neighbors and helping them find the best products for their pets
- Assist with caring for the animals that we have in the store
Skills:
- Strength & balance. This position is physically demanding at times. You will need to safely climb a ladder with a 40–50-pound bag of dog food multiple times a day.
- Initiate conversation and engage with people face to face
- Exceptional listening and execution skills
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Simple arithmetic
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.50 - $14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
