Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers by handling cash, operating the cash register, and assisting with various sales activities.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed to enhance their shopping experience.
- Accurately process cash and credit transactions using the cash register or POS system.
- Handle cash with care, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and product offerings to effectively assist customers.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a neat and appealing store environment.
- Conduct product demos when required to promote new items or special promotions.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the checkout area and store as a whole.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $15.69 - $16.43 per hour
