Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. This role involves working closely with pets, ensuring their comfort and safety while delivering high-quality grooming services. The Pet Groomer will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of pets and ensuring they look their best. Hourly wages or up to 50% commission whichever is greater weekly. Sign on bonus up to $1500.00 for experienced Hires!
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any potential health issues.
- Use appropriate grooming tools and techniques to achieve desired results while ensuring the safety of the animal.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any observed health concerns.
- Handle animals with care, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety for both the groomer and the pet.
- Provide additional services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing as needed.
- Keep accurate records of each pet's grooming history and any special needs or instructions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic veterinary knowledge is a plus
- Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safe interactions with pets during grooming sessions.
- Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary and perform physical tasks associated with grooming.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
- Experience in related fields such as pet sitting or kennel work can be advantageous.
- Ability to provide own equipment (clippers, Blades, scissors,etc.)
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and Holidays.
- Be able to pass drug screening and be at least 18 years old
