As an Experienced Dog Trainer at Pet Supplies Plus, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of pets and their owners through effective training techniques. This position is essential to our mission of providing exceptional service and support to our neighbors while fostering positive relationships with their pets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of various breeds and skill levels.
• Develop customized training programs based on the specific needs of each dog and owner.
• Provide guidance to pet owners on proper handling techniques and behavioral management.
• Monitor progress and adjust training methods as necessary to ensure success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during training sessions.
• Collaborate with store staff to promote training classes and related products.
• Educate customers about dog behavior, health, and wellness through workshops or demonstrations.
• Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications

• Proven EXPERIENCE as a dog trainer.
• Strong knowledge of dog behavior, training techniques, and animal care principles.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to develop personalized training plans tailored to individual dogs' needs.
• Certification in dog training preferred.
• Familiarity with various dog breeds and their specific characteristics is beneficial.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with animals are crucial.
