Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our grocery store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their shopping needs. Your primary responsibilities will include operating the cash register, handling transactions, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. A successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers.
We are looking for someone with flexible availability, primarily during daytime hours, who can also work other shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain stock levels by replenishing shelves and organizing merchandise effectively.
- Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers at all times.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic understanding of cash handling procedures and retail math concepts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
