What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Team Member position at Pet Supplies Plus?
Looking for PAWsitively passionate candidates to join our team at our new location in Hamburg, NY!
As a Store Team Member you will be trained in each of the following areas:
Cashier:
- Processing neighbor transactions accurately and efficiently
- Answering phones and directing them appropriately
- Signing up store club card members
Stock Clerk:
- Deliver knowledgeable service to our neighbors
- Stock shelves
- Carry merchandise to neighbors' cars
- Understand the layout of the store
- Act as a back-up Cashier or Pet Care Team Member as needed
Animal Care:
- Caring for our pets in sore (cleaning habitats, feeding, and monitoring)
- Answering neighbor's questions about our animals and providing them the information they need to care for their new pet appropriately.
Requirements: The Store Team Member position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65lbs) and standing for long periods of time. Candidates must be flexible in working evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of the job requirement. Interacting with our neighbors' dogs, cats, and other pets is part of our culture and the Pet Supplies Plus experience. All positions require a passion for people and their pets. All candidates must pass a drug test and be 16 years or older.
