Pet Supplies Plus is currently hiring part-time sales associate for their Clear Lake location.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers (neighbors) in the proper selection of merchandise in accordance with their specific needs.
- Interact professionally and effectively with all leadership, team members, and customers (neighbors).
- Perform all aspects of point-of-sale service, e.g. cash sales, credit and check sales, returns and exchanges.
- Assist in stocking and facing merchandise according to Pet Supplies Plus standards.
- Ensure that store small animals, birds, reptiles, and fish receive the highest quality care, maintained in habitats that are clean, safe, and secure, and that all animals are cared for in accordance with Pet Supplies Plus standards.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks as required to maintain the professional image and appearance of the store, to include sweeping/mopping the floors, dusting, washing the windows, restroom maintenance, etc.
Requirements:
- 1 years’ experience working with animals highly (Preferred)
- Ability to work Retail store hours - including evenings and weekends (Required)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift heavy merchandise
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and pull 2000 lbs. utilizing material handling equipment.
- Ability to pass a drug and background screening
- 17 years of age or older
