Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical guidance and support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians
- Develop and implement effective medical protocols and procedures
- Conduct regular rounds and audits to ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve patient care and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university
- Active licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
- Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable
- USDA Category I accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians
