Main Objectives:
- Patient Experience: Deliver outstanding patient care, encompassing thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, tailored treatments, and personalized follow-up.
- Treatment Options: Provide comprehensive dental services, including routine cleanings, advanced surgical procedures, and palliative care.
- Clinical Integration: Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive patient care.
Scope of Practice: As a veterinarian at our hospital, you will operate within the framework established by the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director. You will exercise judgment in decision-making, adhering to the guiding principles outlined in the Petco Veterinary SOPs.
Key Qualifications:
- Accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from a reputable veterinary institution
- Valid licensure as a veterinarian in the state where the hospital is located or eligibility to obtain by commencement date
- Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located or capability to secure by start date
- Proficiency in anesthesia administration and routine surgeries, including canine and feline spay/neuter procedures, mass removals, and dentals
- Superb communication and relationship-building skills
- Adeptness in working within diverse teams and environments
