Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian II to join our team at one of our full-service veterinary hospitals. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to our commitment to excellence in animal health. Main Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care* Collaborate with colleagues to develop treatment plans and ensure seamless patient care* Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to improve staff skills and patient outcomes* Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays, neuters, and mass removals* Develop and implement dental procedures, including full exams, radiographs, and extractions* Communicate effectively with clients and referral hospitals to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school* Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date* Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License (if applicable)* USADA Category I Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Compassionate and sympathetic approach with ability to maintain a professional demeanor during challenging situations* Proficiency in computer systems and telephone skills* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
