Schedule : A shift -Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday , 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Summary
We are seeking a Mixer to join our dynamic team at PetDine. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing ingredients to create high-quality pet products that keep pets happy and healthy. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering exceptional products while fostering client growth.
As a Mixer you will be responsible for reviewing production work orders to verify the ingredients that will be used. The Mixer ensures completion of formulas used in Baking, Cold Extrusion, Hot Extrusion and Dry Blending Operations by verifying all ingredients needed are properly staged.
Responsibilities
- Mix ingredients according to specified formulations to produce pet food products.
- Initial/date formula and record lot numbers used
- Visually inspect ingredients
- Assist operators during mixing and machine operation as needed
- Use mixing equipment to blend recipe per work order instructions
- Lift, move and pour ingredients into equipment or containers ( up to 50 lbs.)
- Follow all pre and post inspection procedures
- Ensure all mixing equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling ingredients.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on mixed products to ensure consistency and safety.
- Assist in the training of new staff on mixing procedures and safety practices.
Requirements
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge to operate mixing equipment effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Job requires working in a warehouse environment, bending, stooping, occasionally lifting to 50 pounds
