We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Department Manager to oversee Bakery, Hot Extrusion, Packaging night shift operations in Harvard, IL. The ideal candidate will manage baking and hot extrusion production, coordinate employee work schedules, and ensure the maintenance and efficiency of all related equipment. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our operations and ensuring timely and quality production based on Packaging Room demand.
Schedule : Tuesday- Saturday , 5pm-3am w/ flexibility.
Overview
Responsibilities
- Manage baking and hot extrusion production based on Packaging Room demand.
- Manager the scheduling employee work hours and work locations.
- Manage scheduling maintenance or service of mixing, forming and baking, hot extrusion, and packaging equipment.
- Responsible for implementation of 5S in the baking, hot extrusion, and packaging areas.
- Manage supervision of Mixers, Production Leads, Bakers, Hot Extrusion colleagues, and Packaging colleagues.
- Manage Ingredient Inventory Handler with pulling material and unloading trucks.
- Perform any other job functions are requested by supervisor.
- Address performance management related questions, comments, and concerns in a timely and clear manner with documentation as appropriate.
Responsibilities managed but may be performed by others
- Print labels for baking racks and hot extrusion production.
- Assure packaging is performed in a quality-first and accurate manner.
- Ensures all doors are closed and locked when not in use.
- Responsible for training new employees and maintaining cross training log.
- Monitor and assure proper adherence to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Necessary Skills
- Forklift Operation (certification required upon hire)
- Computer Proficient
Education/Experience
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- High School Education Required.
- Additional education and experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess advanced knowledge of machine operation
- Ability to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ability to demonstrate safe working habits
- Ability to create and maintain detailed written instructions

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
