What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exploration Driller (L1086) position at PETE LIEN & SONS, INC?
Pete Lien & Sons is seeking an Exploration Driller to join our operation in Rapid City, SD, Laramie, WY, or Laporte, CO. The Exploration Driller is responsible for:
- Safely transport and operate core drilling equipment and support vehicles.
- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of drilling equipment.
- Prepare mining sites in advance of drilling operations..
- Accurately document daily activities, including equipment maintenance, operations, and drilling logs.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
- Exploration drilling is a key part of this role, but not the sole responsibility. When drilling campaigns are not active, the role will include duties at a quarry near the employee's home base.
The schedule will be structured to allow this person to travel home on Friday and back to the drilling site on Monday. When we are not actively working on a drilling campaign, this person will be assigned duties in a quarry near their home base.
