Pete Lien & Sons, Inc is seeking an employee to work as a Network Administrator to maintain client and production networks. This candidate must have strong technical and communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. Professional Experience:
• 5 Years of Network Administrator Experience
• Microsoft certifications or other industry certifications preferred
• Must be proficient in Windows Server, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Azure AD Connect, wireless network administration, group policy implementation, remote desktop services, VOIP administration, and backup/disaster recovery.
Knowledge of:
• Proficiency in supporting local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), Internet, e-mail systems, telecommunications, and data communications; standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities; proper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments.
Working Knowledge:
• Microsoft applications such as Active Directory, Exchange/O365, Windows OS Client and Server, IIS, SQL, Hyper-V, etc. (Installing, Implementing, maintaining, and administration.)
• TCP/IP protocols, IPV4, DHCP, NAT, HTTPS, FTP, etc.
• Routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies including QOS, LLDP, Spanning Tree, etc.
• Cybersecurity best practices including Firewalls, VPN, MDR/EDR.
• Microsoft Hyper-V administration and optimization.
• Cabling technologies and the use of fiber and copper
• Wireless technologies and 802.1x.
• Physical access control network technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
• Advanced Troubleshooting skills.
• VOIP technologies.
• Scope, communicate, and coordinate network projects with project stakeholders.
• Maintain, install and configure IP cameras and access control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Oversees the day-to-day operation of computer networks and phone systems, including hardware/software support, training, and special projects.
• Support end users computer, network and storage needs.
• Provides PC Technical Support to users on various issues, identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and concerns of company users.
• Responds to and is accountable for IT Support system requests.
• Plans, designs, and implements data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems and wireless systems.
• Assists in coordinating special projects including network-related wiring plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases and system installation, backup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots telecommunication equipment and systems.
• Maintains all hardware, software, and phone service connection that comprise the company voice and data networks.
• Assists in providing network and remote connectivity hardware/software support.
• Monitors the operation and performance of multiple telecommunication systems.
• Designs and recommends upgrades, changes, new software, and hardware for network infrastructure.
• Coordinates telecommunication activities related to integration, changes, or new services for end-users.
• Maintains the inventory of all telephone equipment, switches, routers, and all topology equipment.
• May be assigned to Project Teams for leadership or technical support.
• Participates in the installation of PCs, software, and hardware.
• Responsible for the wellbeing and availability of company network security.
• Analyzes network workload and monitors performance.
• Participates in the on-call technical support as needed.
