Essential Functions And Duties
- Prepare financial statements and reports for multiple real estate properties
- Analyze property income and expenses and provide accurate accounting for rental and leasing operations.
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and issuing payments to vendors
- Creating and setting up accounts for new tenants
- Charge rent and send out monthly statements to tenants
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Complete yearly CAM reconciliations
- Collaborate with property managers, attorneys, and other stakeholders on financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- All positions must be performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or leadership.
- Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.
- Adaptability and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in accounting) and a minimum of 2 years of equivalent work experience
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Experience in real estate property accounting is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity, honesty and professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and various accounting software
- Strict attention to detail with ability to prioritize issues appropriately
- Strong accounting and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Has a “can do” productive self-motivated attitude, demonstrates initiative and suggests improved processes
Physical demands include, but are not limited to:
- While largely sedentary, this position requires the ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Requires the ability to use a computer and office equipment traditionally found in office settings
