What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Detailer position at Pete's RV Center?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven candidate to join our South Windsor, Connecticut team! This position will be responsible for cleaning and washing the RV units and preparing them for customer pickup.
Responsibilities
- Washes and conditions vehicle exterior, including tires, wheels, under-carriage and waxing/buffing
- Details vehicles for display
- Washes and maintain detail area
- Keeps detail area in order and help with sold RV washes
- Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Assists technicians with prep work and equipment
- RV lot maintenance and seasonal yard work
- Performs routine building maintenance including: trash pick-up, cleaning lavatories, vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
- Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
- Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service oriented
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- A desire to work in a performance based environment.
