Pete'sTire Barns was started by Peter A. Gerry in 1968 and has grown to one of thelargest independent tire dealerships in the country. Pete's currently operates22 full-service locations in New England, a state-of-the art DistributionCenter, 3 Bandag retread facilities, employs in excess of 300 people, andoperates a fleet of over 100 service and delivery vehicles. Today,approximately 90% of our business is in the commercial truck tire and relatedmarkets. Pete's services everything from a wheelbarrow tire up to anearthmover tire.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Driver's License & clean driving record preferred

Requirements :

Responsible for changing primarilypassenger, light truck, loader, farm, ATV and / or lawn and garden

Perform tire repairs, replacements, andgeneral service to tires and wheels

Remove or replace mounted tire assemblyfrom vehicles

Ability to recognize repairable tiresand properly perform repair and discard tires that are not repairable

Communicate all work performed vialegible writing on tags, work orders and / or invoices

Perform all tasks in a safe andefficient manner

Use all provided safety equipment suchas gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, air cages, safety glasses and communicateequipment needs

Report all tools or equipment that needrepair or that are broken and report all unsafe actions, problems or abnormalsituations to the store manager or safety manager

Perform daily maintenance of tools andequipment

Review service work orders for completeinformation such as required customer information, repairs, mounts, new tires,valves before giving to the store manager

Ensure that all products leave withproper paperwork

As needed, perform miscellaneous jobduties to ensure prompt services to our customer

Willing to make customer satisfaction anumber one priority, must be flexible and understand that job priorities willconstantly change due to customer needs

Equipment : Capable of operating liftgates, service tools, air compressors, hydraulic jacks, air guns, air gauges,mounting and balancing machines, and computer and office equipment

Physical Demands :

Exerts 75 to 125 pounds of forceoccasionally, and / or 25 to 75 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater thannegligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Frequentlyreaches (extending hands and arms in any direction), handles (seizing, holding,grasping, turning, or working with hands), and identifies and distinguishescolors. Occasionally climbs (ascends or descends ladders, stairs, ramps, andthe like), balances. Occasionally stoops (bending the body downward and forwardby bending at the waist, legs and spine), and kneels (bending the legs at kneeto come to rest on knee or knees).
