Material Handler - Line Supply I
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler / Line Supply 1 is responsible for supporting the production line through continuous retrieving of material and staging necessary material at designated locations along the production line to ensure that production is not halted due to lack of material through the safe and effective use of various warehouse equipment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses :
- High School diploma or GED or earning within a designated period of time following date of hire.
- Position-specific vocational education / experience, training, or certification is preferred
- Valid stand-up forklift certification is required; in house training will be provided prior to start.
Kind & Length of Experience :
Mechanical / manufacturing experience preferred1 or more years of stand-up forklift experience is preferred.Essential Functions :

Ensure materials are supplied to the production line in a timely fashionLittle to no waiting period for materialsRead production and delivery schedules and stacking patterns to determine sorting, transfer, and arrangement of packages and correct destination of loaded palletsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal error, while maintaining a safety-first mentalityDeliver or route materials to departments using stand up forklifts, RF Scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehousing equipmentMaintain accurate product and material inventory through proper use of RF Scanner and inventory control proceduresAbility to successfully work both ends of the production line efficientlyKeep record of equipment performance and report any issues to the necessary partiesAccurate completion of quality checks and adherence to quality assurance guidelinesMinimal quality errorsHigh attention to detail requiredStrong prioritization and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with little guidance requiredMust have basic skills using computer software and RF ScannersSupport efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001) / Environment, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) management systemConform with the EHS&S Policy and the Cardinal RulesMaintain a safe and secure workplace and meet environmental site requirementsSupport the EHS&S objectives and targets, and any specific action plans or management programs assignedUnderstand the EHS&S risks and impacts of the employee’s job and functional area, including appropriate controls and proceduresUnderstand the EHS&S impacts / consequence that could result if specified procedures are not followedReport accidents and incidents to a supervisor or the EHS&S departmentParticipate in required EHS&S trainingOther duties as requested.Peter Cremer Training Required :
