Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Engineering Team, the Engineering Co-op will assist with designing and maintaining reliable and safe production systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, cost, and reducing downtime. The Engineering Co-op is driven to assist with identifying, developing, and delivering innovative solutions while maintaining and improving safety & quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently attending a university pursuing a related field of study.
- Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent written & verbal communication.
- Assertive approach to solving problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and mitigate areas of top loss within the production equipment.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and design projects.
- Collect and analyze production/equipment data to predict trends.
- Create detailed specifications for equipment and other production related processes or methods including process flow diagrams, CAD drawings, etc.
- Lead internal and customer facing meetings.
- Engage with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver projects on time and within agreed upon budget requirements.
- Initiate Management of Change (MOC) per requirements
- Conduct training, coordinate communication and update/develop documentation prior to process implementation.
- Develop engineering specifications that include appropriate EHS&S & RC14001 considerations.
- Other duties as assigned.
