DESCRIPTION
Provide support to the Chief Marketing Officer on projects including but not limited to marketing & communications, charitable fundraising, networking and panel events, DEI initiatives, and golf tournament management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Create sales proposals and agreements. Maintain sales files.
•Maintain ongoing communications with sponsors, coordinating sponsorship details, participant registrations, signage needs, and marketing materials.
•Maintain ongoing communication with participants and attendees, at times coordinating travel and logistics as needed.
•Maintain ongoing communication with nonprofit partners, coordinating regular meetings and volunteer needs for events.
•Coordinate procurement efforts for auctions, maintaining donated item database, managing inventory, writing item descriptions, and updating auction software.
•Primary contact for vendors used at various events.
•Coordinate monthly eNewsletter campaigns to promote events.
•Create collateral materials as needed.
•Assist with website and social media updates.
•Coordinate auction fulfillment.
•Assist the CFO with sponsorship and auction payment collections.
•Assist with on-site operational duties, including but not limited to golf tournaments, fundraising dinners, auctions, networking events, and panel discussions.
•Perform other tasks necessary to ensure success of events.
•Assist with other PJS client projects as required or assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree specializing in marketing, business, English, or communications, or a combination of an Associate’s degree and relevant work experience.
ENVIRONMENT
Peter Jacobsen SPORTS operates on a hybrid home/office schedule. Some work is performed off-site and out-of doors surrounding events, and takes place outside of normal business hours. Work at events involves overtime. This position will require some travel (5-10%).
BENEFITS
This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits including 401(k), health, vision, dental, PTO, and paid holidays. The pay range for this position is $20-$25 per hour depending on experience.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
The position involves a moderate degree of complexity because of the large number of sponsors, attendees, and correspondence associated with the events. The position encounters frequent and varied work situations. The position operates from established and well-known procedures but may offer opportunities for recommending changes to practices and procedures to standardize and/or improve efficiency. The position receives a moderate degree of supervision. Errors in judgment influence relationships with sponsor/clients, disrupt the flow of business and, at the extreme, embarrass or damage the image of PJS. Communications are frequent both inside and outside of the organization. Contacts sometimes involve confidential/sensitive matters. Most contacts are completed through the use of telephone and electronic communications.
