About the Role
The Project Director is responsible for leading the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project. This includes overseeing and supervising the work of project administration, superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain effective relationships with owners, subcontractors, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a healthy safety culture and compliance with company safety policy by conducting regular audits and providing training to team members.
- Ensure the project meets or exceeds its financial objectives by closely monitoring each stage of development and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
- Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with area superintendents and project engineers to develop means and methods, schedule contracting needs, and manage long lead delivery times.
- Manage all field operations and work sequences in conjunction with the Project Executive.
- Review project estimate or plan to determine estimated job cost, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
- Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections, review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
- Anticipate project needs with sufficient lead-time to avoid delays in production.
- Evaluate and improve processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution.
