What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist position at Peter Piper Pizza?
JOB PURPOSE: Oversee and coordinate various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance and HCM functions. Provide HR support to over 70 locations in areas such as employee relations, retention, legal compliance, policy development and workplace excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues at all stores in Texas and New Mexico, including addressing workplace concerns, conflict resolution and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate investigations of employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
- Oversee and support all recruiting functions for all stores in Texas and New Mexico, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, retention, and job requisitions.
- Develop Recruitment strategies.
- Assist with overseeing and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks.
- Collaborate with management at all locations to ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies, maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
- Oversee the WOTC program and correct any deficiencies.
- Oversee annual Form I-9 audit.
- Help maintain Workday for business processes, accuracy and employee information.
- Compile training documents for Workday for all locations.
- Assist in creating and maintaining Journeys in Workday for Onboarding, Enrolling in Benefits, etc.
- Oversee quarterly turnover reports and annual hourly turnover targets.
- Complete the annual EEO-1 reporting.
- Run Workday reports to prepare for bi-weekly payroll and complete all Workday approvals.
- Assist the HR clerks with new hires, E-verify, Form I-9s, corrections in Workday, employee Workday accounts, etc.
- Manage the Human Resources department in the Chief People Officer’s absence.
