Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Analyze accounts and prepare reports on account analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
- Utilize financial software, such as quick books for efficient data management and reporting.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with private equity teams to provide necessary financial insights and support investment decisions.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Preparing monthly financial reports and tax returns.
- Advising on tac strategies to minimize tax expenditure
- Ensuring bank statements are accurate
- Ensuring financial records are accurate thought out the year.
- Advising on areas that require cost savings and efficiencies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounts payable processes and account reconciliation techniques.
- Experience with financial software systems, particularly QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and provide actionable insights based on findings.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
