What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Architect / Architectural Designer position at Peter Vincent Architects?
Peter Vincent Architects, an award-winning firm based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, is seeking a Project Architect with a five to seven years of architectural experience. The Project Architect is the design and technical leader of the project and as such, plans and supervises the project tasks that result in the overall design and preparation of schematic, design development, and construction documents for the project. Ensures all aspects of the project design and technical production are in accordance with the firm’s policies, procedures, and standards. Manages the bidding, permitting and construction administration phases of the project.
Primary Duties
1. Conceives, designs, and prepares working drawings for new or modified structures. Performs a variety of complicated problem-solving tasks.
2. Responsible for daily supervision of architectural design and technical development of projects.
3. Manages the PVA architectural design and production team.
4. Coordinates the technical efforts of Consultants and Engineers.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required.
2. Master’s Degree a plus.
3. Architecture license not required, but preferred.
4. Minimum of five years architecture experience required.
