POSITION INFORMATION:Our porters are responsible for keeping the service bays, parts warehouse, showroom, administrative offices, parking lot and other areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards. Other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40 hour a week position and is eligible for overtime.
To qualify for our Porter position, you must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a driving record that meets our criteria. You will be required to obtain and maintain a Driver Medical Certification. Ability to drive and operate a fork-lift safely is required. Dressing professionally and being able to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts is a must.
The Porter position is a physically demanding position. You will stand up to eight hours per shift. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Will use hand and power tools. Will lift and transport up to 70 pounds several times during each shift. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
