Job Title: Parts Driver/Warehouse
Department: Parts
Reports To: Parts Manager
Summary:
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.
Essential Duties
Include but not limited to the following;
Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts and vendors.
Checks with parts manager, inventory control manager, parts outside salesperson, parts counter people or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick ups or deliveries.
Check with the body shop each day to determine immediate parts needs.
Delivers parts to the body shop when needed and distributes to the appropriate body technician.
Verify that the invoice matches purchase order for each pick up.
Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick ups. Request recipients’ signature on each delivery entry.
Unload truck each night. Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
Advise parts manager if delivery truck needs repairs and maintenance.
Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department
Help with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Works with a “sense of urgency” attitude and promotes a “team approach” among all employees.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A good working knowledge of heavy duty and medium duty trucks and/or automotive experience is desired.
Language Skills
Must have the ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with management, customers, vendors and other employees.
Mathematical/Computer Skills
Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Must have prior experience working with computers and have the ability to function in an electronic environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid Louisiana drivers license
