Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to oversee the parts department within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sales and operational processes, as well as, building sales through developing strong customer relationships. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in supply chain management to effectively support our operations.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the parts department.
- Oversee the sales process ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Grow retail sales and ensure profit margins expectations are met.
- Collaborate with the service department to forecast demand for parts based on upcoming repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular audits of the warehouse to maintain organization and accuracy in inventory records.
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient supply chain management to minimize downtime in equipment repair.
- Train and supervise staff within the parts department, fostering a culture of teamwork and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in a parts management role, preferably within a dealership or equipment repair environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Experience with warehouse operations, including inventory control and demand planning.
- Familiarity with supplier management practices and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using CDK or a similar inventory management system.
