Responsibilities:
- Process and submit all necessary paperwork for vehicle titles, including applications for new titles, transfers, and registrations
- Verify and review all documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with state regulations and dealership policies
- Communicate with customers, financial institutions, and government agencies to resolve any title-related inquiries or issues
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to ensure a seamless and timely titling process
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all title transactions
- Vehicle inventory controls and schedule reconciliations
- Stay current on state regulations and guidelines related to vehicle titles, always ensuring compliance.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as answering phones, filing, data entry, accounting, inventory, and service cashiering
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing any title-related concerns or questions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Title Clerk or in a similar administrative role, preferably within an automotive dealership
- Strong knowledge of state regulations and procedures regarding vehicle titles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing paperwork
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with DMV systems and processes is a plus
