What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boys Youth Lacrosse Coach position at Peters Township Boys Youth Lacrosse Assocation?
Coaching Expectations for Peters Township Boys Youth Lacrosse:
We are a fun and progressive program competing with the top teams in Western PA. Candidates should have a passion for the game and want to help mold young players into the best possible lacrosse players they can be and to help create a positive learning environment throughout the season.
You should be able to demonstrate the following:
Teach basic lacrosse skills and principles: throwing/catching, cradling, ground balls at a minimum.
Teach and communicate offensive and defensive concepts in regard to: ball movement, 1v1 techniques, on/off ball positioning, transitions, team offense and defense…etc.)
Use positive coaching techniques to instruct youth players
Develop and execute practice plans
Consistent availability for practices: March – May: practices: 3x/week, and for games: April-June 1, 2023 - approximate games - 1-2 per weekend and 1 game during the week.
Qualifications:
Experience playing lacrosse at the high school, collegiate level or higher
PA Mandated Background checks are required (paid for by PTBYLA)
Coaching US Lacrosse Membership (paid for by PTBYLA)
CPR/First Aid/AED Training (provided through PTBYLA in February 2023)
Coaches will be compensated for their time outside of the core season as well.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
