Title: SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS/AIDES (INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS)/SECRETARIES

Position Overview
A substitute teacher is responsible for providing instruction, managing the classroom environment, and promoting student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Minimal Qualifications
Hold a high school diploma or have passed a high school equivalency examination approved by the Board of Education
Duties And Responsibilities
Supports the main school calendar by stepping up when the agreed teacher is unable to perform their full responsibilities.
The substitute teacher will follow the lesson plans outlined by the full-time teacher.
Responsible for overseeing student behavior in class and surrounding areas.
Ability to maintain normal classroom routines and discipline within the classroom.
Responsible for taking roll and reporting absentees each day.
