About The Role
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, with direct supervision by the Administrative Assistant, the Receptionist is primarily responsible for managing calls to the main telephone line and redirecting them as necessary. This position will also greet guests to the museum office space, schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and perform additional clerical duties as requested. The ability to present a professional, welcoming presence and to maintain confidentiality is essential.

What You'll Do
- Manage calls to the main telephone line with a professional and welcoming demeanor, redirecting them as necessary.
- Manage general online inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Welcome guests to the museum office space and announce their arrival to the appropriate person.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings.
- Order lunches, refreshments, and snacks for lunch meetings and breakroom.
- Track and replace office supplies as necessary to avoid interruptions.
- Scan and copy documents as needed.
- Process Credit Card Reports for executive staff.
- Provide clerical assistance to Membership and other departments as needed.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Some experience in receptionist duties preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience
