What you will do:
Hospice Director duties will include the supervision of licensed and non-licensed personnel in Hospice. Communicates with Providers, Peterson Health team members, co-workers, etc, as appropriate regarding departmental updates. Is able to respond quickly and efficiently to changes in department status. Oversees the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of all Hospice staff and activities, including but not limited to: education, evaluations, hiring process, performance improvement, policies and procedures, scheduling and counseling or disciplinary process. Participates in administrator on-call duties and holiday staffing.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Must comply with required annual training for Administration of Agencies as described in the Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 97

Professional and efficient verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, basic organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of general office and administrative practices and procedures. Knowledge of how to utilize office equipment (copy machine, fax machine, etc.) Ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenical. Must have demonstrated experience in working with patients and caregivers dealing with acute and chronic illness, life-threatening illness and end of life. Must be capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks of critical importance simultaneously. Experience in leading groups, onboarding process, and staff development. Proficient in gathering and presenting statistical data. Experience with Microsoft Office.

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Current Texas stat license in appropriate discipline; Current American Heart Association CPR; Current Texas state driver’s license; Current auto insurance. Must have reliable transportation.
