Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Civil Litigation Assistant to join our legal team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys in all stages of civil litigation cases. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- File and serve pleadings, motions, and other documents with state, federal and appellate courts
- Assist attorneys with case management, including maintaining and organizing case files, documents, and evidence
- Calendar court dates and deadlines
- Compile and organize digital files, mediation binders, trial notebooks and exhibits
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Format and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions and discovery requests
- Other administrative duties as needed (mailing, scanning, etc.)
